Cusco (or Cuzco) is a romantic city located in the Andes of Peru. A city heavily influenced by the pre-Spanish and Incan culture, now gaining a reputation for the exquisite Italian-Peruvian fusion cuisine paired perfectly with breathtaking mountain views.
Best Places to Eat in Cusco
Many great restaurants are located in the Plaza de Armas or just blocks away but don't judge a book by it's cover. You will find the best restaurants in Cusco are hidden in the old squares and buildings around the main plaza.

I stumbled across this restaurant while strolling through the Plaza de Armas and I was flagged down by a host standing outside of the restaurant advertising the menu. The food looked appetizing so I went up to the 2nd level for lunch. The dining area was clean and the staff are very friendly. With your meal they make available to you their fresh pasta and salad buffet. The presentation of all the choices deserved to be on a cover of a magazine.
Each selection I tried was delicious and all so unique in flavor. The main dish I had was guinea pig. You have the option for a whole or half and being my first time eating guinea pig, I chose half. The guinea pig was good and it sort of reminded me of rabbit or another small animal. This is a great restaurant to enjoy the day time panoramic views of Plaza de Armas or the peaceful evening of Cusco.

LIMO is one of my favorite places to dine when I visit Cusco. Located in the center of Plaza de Armas, the locations of LIMO is outstanding. The atmosphere is relaxing and inviting as you will find out when you walk through the courtyard and up to the restaurant. The beautiful stoned pathway you see throughout Cusco lines the stairs leading to the entrance.
Be sure to make a reservation as this restaurant may book up quickly. The food is delicious. I've never had an unsatisfactory experience. Some items I recommend are salmon ceviche, salmon sushi, and the steak. Each time I've visited this restaurant it's been a pleasant experience. The food is packed with flavor that will leave you wanting to come back. The staff is super nice and happy to provide great diner recommendations.

Cicciolina is busy - I recommend making reservations. You may find a seat at the bar but for a table it's best to make a dinner reservation a day or two in advance. The restaurants is one block off the main plaza nestled behind one of the big cathedrals.
The food is delectable. The atmosphere is warm and a great place to wind down and enjoy a glass of wine. The Alpaca would be great to try here. Very flavorful and tender. Their pastas are fulfilling and amazing as well. The staff is attentive and professional. Overall, Cicciolina is one of the most romantic dinner options in Cusco.
My Favorite Café & Pub in Cusco
Café de la Paz, This café is located on a corner of the main plaza (Plaza de Armas). The café opens in the afternoon just when you need that afternoon pick-up and the wait is worth it. The flavors and ambiance made Café de la Paz my go-to low-key chill spot in Cusco.
Paddy's Irish Pub, Located on a side of Plaza de Armas, the pub offers a fun place to watch international sports, catch a good fútbol match, and grab a bucket of beers. Also, Paddy's Pub claims to be the highest 100% Irish-owned pub in the world. Do you think it's true?
